Homello Terms of Services

Welcome to Homello (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Homello website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into legally binding contracts to use our Services. By using Homello, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

2. Our Services

Homello provides a digital platform that helps: Renters/Tenants: Search property listings, save favorites, submit and track rental applications, and manage documents. Landlords/Agents: Post properties, review applicants, and manage tenant-related workflows.

Homello does not act as a landlord, property manager, real estate agent, financial institution, or legal advisor. We provide tools to facilitate connections and transactions, but all agreements are strictly between renters and landlords.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as needed. Homello reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Responsibilities

When using the Services, you agree: Not to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information. Not to upload unlawful, offensive, or harmful content. To comply with all applicable laws, including housing, rental, and fair-use regulations. To use the platform only for legitimate rental and property-related purposes.

5. Payments

Some features of the Services may require fees (e.g., application fees, premium listings, or subscription plans). Fees will be clearly disclosed before you are charged. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your use of the Services.

6. Homello's Role

Homello is not a party to rental agreements. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or availability of properties, nor do we screen or endorse tenants or landlords. Any disputes arising from rental agreements must be resolved between the parties involved.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the Services (including design, logos, and content) belong to Homello or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. Homello does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We disclaim liability for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from property transactions or user interactions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Homello shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, arising from your use of the Services.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful conduct.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
